Awoke to a beautiful sunrise to the east and dark grey to the west.what had once been a thriving railroad town and on route 66 is now pretty much boarded up. Strolled around town noting all the closed hotels/motels, businesses and beautiful murals painted on the walls. It soon started with drps of rain then progressed to a steady drizzle. Most likely a portend of things to come....TWC shows it raining in santa fe and area for the bext 2-3 days. Looks luke we'll be starting the ride in rain. Temp this am is 60deg. Now for breakfast at the Kix on 66 restaurant.then off to Santa fe.
